John Pulford's Art
In June 2019 I was contacted by John Pulford, who kindly sent me a copy of a watercolour that he was commissioned to paint in 1983 (below left). I love this watercolour, as with the sketch of the School it has brought back so many great memories. It not only caught the character and feel of the School, but even the smell, along with memories of the good times I had there. It also rekindled memories of the area around the School, the sweet shop in Sheepwalk where I used to get my Fruit Salads, going blackberry picking down the far end of Sheepwalk walk with my Mum and lots more.
John also drew the sketch of the School that renewed the interest in the School that started this site (below right).
At the time of John's e-mail the current location of the original of the watercolour was not known. I put out a request for information on this site and within less than 24 hours I received e-mail from Alison Baxtor.
Alison recognised the watercolour as the one her friends brother, John attended the School. Alison belives the watercolour is currently in Gloucestershire.
Alison also kindly sent me the photograph (to the right) of the watercolour, which was on display at their home in Shepperton.
Many Thanks to John, Gillian (John's Sisiter) and Alison.
