Do You Remember Doctor Syn?
The Reverend Doctor Christopher Syn is the smuggler hero of a series of novels by Russell Thorndike. The Doctor Syn stories where played over the radio each night in both the boys andd girls dormitories at St. Marys Bay. I have been told recently they were sometimess not played in the girls dormitories. There is more information on the St.Marys Bay summer camps by clicking on the link above.
My SSLHS Article on Saxon School.
The SSLHS is 'The Sunbury and Shepperton Local History Society', for which I compiled an article for the Spring edition of their journal on the subject of the Saxon artefacts. If you would like to read my article please
. It is reproduced by kind permission of The SSLHS.

The Sunbury and Shepperton Local History Society is a great society to join. The society is active and friendly, arranging monthly talks, creating exhibitions and running stands at local events.
